We collect only what is necessary to provide the service: your name, email address, company name, and timezone. During use, order data is generated including origin/destination routes, scheduled dates, delivery proof photos, and odometer readings. We do not collect tracking or analytics data.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the CargoLog fleet management service — managing orders, drivers, trucks, and trailers for your company. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than running the service.

Hosting & Data Location

CargoLog is hosted on Railway with servers located in Amsterdam, Netherlands (EU). All data is stored within the European Union.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all your personal data and company data will be permanently removed.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, rectify inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we will respond promptly.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to any third parties. Your data stays within CargoLog and the infrastructure needed to run the service.

Security

We protect your data using industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via Devise, role-based access control via Pundit, and the built-in security features of the Ruby on Rails framework.
